Catalina Restrepo Carvajal currently leads the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Medellín, the only WEF-affiliated C4IR in Latin America. With over 17 years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, international cooperation, and investment promotion, Catalina has built a strong career at the intersection of innovation and inclusive development.
Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles across government, international organizations, and the private sector in Latin America, Europe, and the U.S., working to position cities and regions through foreign direct investment, innovation policy, and global events.
Catalina holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Communications, a specialization in Corporate Social Responsibility, and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She has also completed executive education at Harvard Kennedy School.
Her focus is on aligning innovation and technology with inclusive, human-centered development, and she is passionate about building bridges between local impact and global conversations. Outside of work, she is also a music lover.
